Summary of the PCRG aims.

1. Holds regular regional meetings with speakers on a variety of ceramic related subjects.

2. Promotes informal gathering to discuss general issues on prehistoric ceramics, and also provides the opportunity to handle both pottery and fired clay from different periods and regions.

3. Publishes policies and guidelines for pottery processing and research reports on work in prehistoric ceramics.

4. Produces a regular newsletter "The Old Potters Almanack" jointly with the Ceramic Petrology Group.

5. Contributes advice and information to National Bodies.
